TORNA-VIAGEM
Portuguese popular music and the more lyrical side of relevant singers in Portuguese history are the raw material of Torna-Viagem, a project made up of Catarina Valadas (voice and flute), Laura Felício (piano) and Telmo Sousa (guitar and other chordophones). The voices, percussions and guitars typical of African-American/Brazilian/Portuguese music have influenced and marked everyone’s paths, so the musical dialogue in this meeting of friends flows organically like a conversation.

HELENA SARMENTO
It is in the words she sings that Helena Sarmento finds herself and reinvents herself. It is also in them that, since her first album, Fado Azul (2011), she has built the coherence with which she has been building an original and identifiable artistic universe. The fado singer has performed on many stages in Portugal, Brazil and several European countries. In these concerts, accompanied by Yuri Reis (fado guitar) and sometimes by Pedro Martins and sometimes by João Martins (Portuguese guitar), Helena Sarmento revisits the most emblematic repertoire of the three fado albums she has released.

FADO VIOLADO
Ana Pinhal and Francisco Almeida unveil a possible reinvention of traditional fado, incorporating flamenco chords and Latin melodies. Pinhal’s voice, a mirror of saudade, rescues the emotional essence of fado, while Almeida weaves a mantle of passion and virtuosity with his flamenco guitar. Through profound lyrics and vibrant arrangements, Fado Violado launches the arrow that reaches both fado lovers and melomaniacs of other preferences, touching hearts all over the globe.
